From an early age Sergo started working on his craft

 

Early in his career, he studied under Sergo Kobuladze, and later studied under Andrei Mylnikov in Saint Petersburg. He has realized various personal exhibitions in Montreal, Canada, Stuttgart, Germany, Ankara, Turkey, Vienna, Prague, Berlin, Tehran, Stockholm, Moscow, Petersburg as well as participated in group exhibitions, international projects. In the tail end of the 80s, he began his educational career opening an art studio and starting as a professor at the State Academy of Arts in Tbilisi, Georgia. During his studies he worked on monumental murals and sculptures all over the Soviet Union creating and contributing to the Soviet art scene. Working on commissions from state and pursuing his own artistic pursuits.

Art Series

During his studies he worked on monumental murals and sculptures all over the Soviet Union creating and contributing to the Soviet art scene. During his early years he achieved fame with his series “Georgian Motives”, which represented his colorful vision of various Georgian mountain landscapes.
After the “Georgian Motives” series he evolved his style and started working his new works which combined his prior vibrant colors and movement with mythical subjects and topics on a grander scale. Some of his masterpieces from that era are “Venice Carnival” 2006, “Nude” (2005), among others.
In 2021 he started experimenting with screen printing technologies creating a new project & exhibition “Anabechdi” whose main topic for the series is monumental poem “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin”. As part of the project, he reimagined the characters and the world they exist in. As well as creating a new portrait of the poem’s author Shota Rustaveli.
